Comprehensive Audiometry (complete hearing testing)
Tympanometry (evaluation of the tympanic membrane and the middle ear)
Acoustic Muscle Reflex measurements (evaluation of the middle ear reflex – helping to determine the type of hearing loss you may have)
Otoacoustic Emission measurements (evaluation of the outer hair cells of the cochlea – especially helpful in the identification of hearing loss in infants and children)
Tinnitus evaluations (evaluation and measurement of “ringing” or other noises in the ear – this identifies patients who may benefit from tinnitus management techniques)
Cerumen management (earwax removal – when necessary to complete a hearing evaluation procedure or for a hearing aid patient)
Pre-employment audiograms (hearing tests – including DOT Commercial Drivers License)
Your hearing evaluation will identify the type and degree of hearing loss, if present, and determine the treatment options. It will identify the need for hearing aids or a medical referral to your Physician, or an ear specialist such as an Otolaryngologist.
Hearing aid fitting and dispensing utilizing real ear measurements and speech mapping to be sure your hearing aids are properly programmed to your most recent hearing test
We dispense hearing aids from each of the major manufacturers including: Widex , Phonak , Oticon, GN Resound, Signia (formerly Siemens), Starkey, Rexton and Unitron
Hearing aids can be provided in all custom styles (in-the-ear, in-the-canal, completely-in-the-canal and invisible-in-the-canal – all skin tones avaliable). Hearing aids can be provided in all behind-the-ear styles (traditional, thin tube and the smallest of receiver-in-the-canal – all colors to match your hair color, skin tone, glasses or favorite color – “hot pink”, etc.) These behind-the-ear style hearing aids can be fit with custom earmolds or stock “domes”.
Most of these hearing aids have wireless accessories to connect them directly to your cell phone, cordless home telephones, televisions, remote microphones (to hear better in noisy environments) and a variety of remote controls (including turning your smart phone into a remote control for your hearing aids).
We have Personal Sound Amplification Products (PSAP), including The BEAN Quiet Sound Amplifier by Etymotic Research and the PockeTalker by Williams Sound. (electronic sound amplifiers that are less expensive than hearing aids)
DirectEar wireless TV amplifiers, Sonic Boom alarm clocks with pillow vibrators, amplified telephones (corded and cordless), telephone ringer amplifiers, smoke detectors with pillow vibrators or strobe lights, amplified stethoscopes for healthcare professionals, Dry & Store boxes and other dessicants to absorb the moisture in hearing aids due to everyday use, alerting devices for hearing the doorbell or the baby crying, sound generators for bedtime use for tinnitus relief, premium hearing aid batteries, as well as many other available devices for the hearing impaired.
We have hearing protection devices including earplugs (foam, premolded - small, medium and large, and custom) earmuffs, electronic earmuffs for firearm use, earmuffs with AM/FM radio and MP3 input (especially enjoyable for mowing your lawn), earcaps, and custom earplugs.
We take earmold impressions for custom hearing aid earmolds, custom earplugs, swimplugs (especially for children with tubes in their ears) and in-the-ear monitors for musicians. These custom products are available in all styles and every imaginable color.
We provide FM systems for children to use in school. (An FM system transmits the sound of the teacher’s voice wirelessly into the child’s hearing aids to minimize background noise in the classroom.)
